Types of Microscopes
The optical microscope is the most commonly used microscope. It is commonly used in schools and recreation. The microscope works by the use of lenses and light to increase magnification.Electron microscopes are used in more demanding situations. This type of microscope uses electrons instead of light to view images at a higher resolution. There are two types of electron microscopes the transmission electron microscope and the scanning electron microscope.
The final type of microscope is the Scanning Probe Microscope. This microscope works by making contact or by observation through extreme proximity. The information gained by the interaction creates a micrograph which is then used for analysis.
