Mickey Goodwin

  • Mickey Goodwin was a former professional boxer who trained at the Kronk Gym in Detroit. He won the boxing competition Golden Gloves in 1975 and entered into professional boxing in 1977.     Goodwin was found bludgeoned to death around 5 p.m. of March 3, 2009, in the home he shared with his mother, who was not home at the time. Police officers arrived at the house to check on Goodwin after he did not show up for work at the River Rouge gym, where he was a trainer.Detroit Free Press: Kronk's first star killed at home (March 3, 2009) Police do not believe Goodwin was killed in his home, but in another location.
