Michelle Wie is a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour.
On December 7, 2008, Michelle Wie earned her LPGA Tour card. Wie was previously limited to only playing in six LPGA events as well as the U.S. Women's Open and the Women's British Open. Wie plans on playing a full LPGA tour schedule now that she has her tour card. Wie stated, I play whenever I want now, not when I have to play, or only six tournaments. I can pick and choose. I might play two in a row, three in a row, and have some momentum. I really like this game, and I want to play a lot. I'm going to take advantage of this card. It's so good to see that Natalie Gulbis and Michelle Wie aren't in the Women's US Open. Yea, right.

An Open without Michelle Wie and Natalie Gulbis? Good thinking USGA. I know, they didn't qualify. Still, they're good enough to be exempt.
