  • Michelle Kosilek is a prisoner in Boston, Massachusetts who is suing the prison for a sex change operation. Convicted of the 1990 killing of his wife, Robert Kosilek changed his name and began living as a woman in 1993. She successfully sued in 2000 and had received treatment for gender disorder, but was unsuccessful in convincing a judge to let the state pay for full sex change. Now, the hormone treatments have stopped, and Michelle is taking the state to court - again.
