Known for playing strong women, American actress Michelle Forbes currently stars in HBO's In Treatment. She has previously played Admiral Helena Cain in Battlestar Galactica Dr. Julianna Cox in Life on the Streets and Samantha Brinker on Prison Break. Her first acting role was as Sonni/Solita on the soap opera Guiding Light.

Sci-Fi Favorite
Early in her career, Forbes made her mark with science fiction fans as the combative Ensign Ro Laren on The Next Generation. Producers wanted to spin her character off into the show Deep Space Nine, but she declined, and also turned down the opportunity to star in Voyager. She returned to science fiction in the 1996 John Carpenter film Escape From L.A.. Her role as Admiral Cain in the Sci-Fi Channel's critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica reunited her with creator Ron Moore, who had been a writer and co-producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation. -
