Michel Gondry is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter and a film, commercial and music video director from Versailles, France.
On February 24, 2009, the trade publication Production Weekly announced via Twitter that Gondry had been tapped to direct the comic book film The Green Hornet. Career
Michel Gondry's career started with music videos when he began working with Bjork, and he went on to direct several notable videos for artists like The White Stripes ("Fell in Love with a Girl"), Radiohead ("Knives Out"), and Foo Fighters ("Everlong"). In 2001 he joined Spike Jonze as a music video director transitioning to the big screen via a feature-length Charlie Kaufman film when he directed Human Nature. Next he directed 2004's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which he co-wrote with Kaufman, a screenplay that earned Gondry an Academy Award. His other films include The Science of Sleep and Dave Chappelle's Block Party.
