Michael Young

MLB Career

Young was originally drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 25th round of the 1994 amateur draft. Young declined a contract however, and went on to play college baseball at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Three years later, the Toronto Blue Jays selected Young in the 5th round of the 1997 draft. After a few years as a minor league prospect with the Blue Jays, they traded him to the Rangers along with Darwin Cubillan, for Esteban Loaiza. Young has made four consecutive All-Star teams with the Rangers.MLB.com: Michael Young Bio
