The Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick held a press conference on August 14, 2009, to discuss Vick signing with the team. Vick joined the Eagles the previous day, returning from a two-year absence after his suspension and prison term for dogfighting.
Vick thanked the coaches and team for the opportunity and admitted to making a "horrible mistake." He continued that he now wants to be "part of the solution, not part of the problem."
