Michael Stahl-David's high-profile roles in Cloverfield and The Black Donnellys are only the most visible side of the actor's body of work. Stahl-David has a long list of theatre credits that stem from his early involvement with Chicago's Lincoln Park High School's famous drama program and a summer workshop with the Steppenwolf Theatre. Steppenwolf led to Columbia College Chicago, which encourages actors to get out and work rather than on workshops. Stahl-David was in several plays before he made the break to television and films, and continues to work the boards.
