Michael Shannon is an American stage and film actor. The role of Peter Evans in Bug was originated by him on stage before he took on the role for the 2007 film. Shannon has also appeared in such films as: Pearl Harbor, Kangaroo Jack, Grand Theft Parsons and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.
Shannon was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor 2009 Oscar for his role Revolutionary Road, but Heath Ledger was posthumously awarded the Oscar for his role in The Dark Knight.Oscars.com: 2009 Oscar Nominees
