American Idol Audition
Upon entering his American Idol audition, Simon Cowell learned that Michael Sarver works a roughneck and made the comment "so, you are completely opposite from Ryan Seacrest aren't you? After a few laughs, Sarver sang his rendition of the song "Thank You," originally by Boyz II Men. Judge Randy Jackson said "when I close my eyes, you sound good, you don't sound like anything like what you look like. The combination of that I actually kind of like". Kara DioGuardi said "you're like a sweet roughneck, like a sensitive roughneck." Paula Abdul agreed. Simon said Sarver has a "likability thing." All four judges voted to bring Sarver back for the Hollywood round of auditions.Dailymotion Video: Michael Sarver's American Idol Audition (Time: 2:42)
