  • NHL Career

    Peca was drafted 40th overall in the 1992 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks. Peca joined the Ottawa 67's in the Ontario Hockey League following the draft and made his NHL debut with the Canucks in 1993. He was traded to the Buffalo Sabres on July 8, 1995, and helped them reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999. He was traded to the New York Islanders on June 24, 2001. Peca played three seasons with the Islanders before taking a year off during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. On August 3, 2005, Peca was traded to the Edmonton Oilers where he helped the team reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006. He played with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 2006-07 regular season before signing as a free agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets on August 21, 2007.
