  • Actor Michael Keaton has starred in several blockbuster comedic films including Mr. Mom and Beetlejuice. In 1989, he was cast as the superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. In recent years, Keaton has taken on more dramatic roles including Live from Baghdad and White Noise. His latest film, The Merry Gentleman, a romantic comedy, will be released on May 1, 2009.

    Keaton was a guest on David Letterman's show on April 24, 2009. Keaton, whose foot was in a cast, spun a tale about how he broke his foot while saving orphans from a burning building.     Michael Keaton, born Michael John Douglas, is actor who has primarily taken on dramatic and comedic roles. Keaton started out doing standup and working as a camera man for the children's program Mister Roger's Neighborhood. In 1977 he moved to Los Angeles to attempt to break into the entertainment industry, he changed his last name to Keaton in order to avoid being confused with actor Michael Douglas.
  • Big Break

    His big break came when he was partnered up with Henry Winkler in the comedy Night Shift. Keaton's most notable roles include Batman in both of Tim Burton's film adaptations as well as the title character in the horror comedy Beetlejuice. When the third Batman movie was in pre-production Keaton left the project due to differences with new director Joel Schumacher and the script.
