Janet Jackson, the sister of the late pop music icon Michael Jackson, performed an elaborate Michael Jackson tribute during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13.
The performance was introduced by Madonna. Several dancers dressed in Jackson's signature outfits and performing to his songs, including "Thriller" and "Smooth Criminal." Janet Jackson came on stage to perform "Scream."
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50.
