Tickets are now on sale as of September, 27th. Hundreds of fans lined up at Nokia theater in LA to be the first 500 people to buy tickets to the film. [1]

"This Is It" will feature footage of Michael Jackson preparing for his 2009/2010 concert tour, which was to take place in London. It was to be his last concert ever; hence the name “This Is It.” Michale Jackson himself had said it was his "last curtain call." The footage was shot in the Los Angeles STAPLES Center during the month of June 2009 which was just a few weeks before his death. After his death, the concert producers decided to release the footage they shot of his rehearsals as a film as a gift to his fans. The film is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London. This film will offer insight into Michael’s very private life and his emotional and physical state at the time right before his death. [1]
