    Doleac was picked by the Orlando Magic in 1998. He was a first round NBA Draft pick, ranking 12th overall. In 2001, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Brendan Haywood. In 2002, he was signed as a free agent by the New York Knicks. During 2004, he changed teams three times, first traded in a three way trade to the Atlanta Hawks, then claimed off of waivers by the Denver Nuggets and finally to he was signed by the Miami Heat.
