Michael Dell is the founder and CEO of Dell, Inc.
Early Life
Michael Dell was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin but dropped out to devote more time to his start up company, PC's Limited.
Over time PC's Limited grew and eventually became the company that is today known as Dell, Inc.. In terms of philanthropy, Michael Dell has invested $50 million in UT Austin to improve the education and health of children.
He is also noted for his feud with Apple CEO Steve Jobs. The two have exchanged words of animosity in the past, and in 2003 Dell's online store stopped selling iPods as a result of contract problems between the two companies.
