Two new novels written by Crichton are being released in the near future. Career
Michael Crichton obtained his M.D. from Harvard medical school in 1969. While still in medical school, he had his first novel published, A Case of Need. Originally writing in different genres, Crichton's later works are thrillers with an emphasis on cutting edge or extrapolative technology gone wrong.
Crichton has also written and directed for film and television. He is the creator of the successful NBC medical drama ER.
