    Crabtree was selected 10th overall in the 2009 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers on April 25, 2009. Crabtree held out, refusing to sign with the 49ers, until October 7.     On October 6, it was reported that Crabtree had returned to the Bay Area and that negotiations between the 49ers and Crabtree's agent would be resuming.   • 2009 Injury

    On February 21, 2009, reports surfaced that Crabtree had a stress fracture in his left food and would require surgery to insert a screw.     Crabtree missed the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine after tests revealed a stress fracture in his foot.   • Football Career

    Crabtree began his career with the Red Raiders as a red-shirt freshman in 2006. He made his collegiate debut in 2007, playing in 13 games. Crabtree set NCAA freshman records for 134 receptions, 1,962 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns. His performance earned him a unanimous All-American selection, many Freshman of the Year awards, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and the Biletnikoff Award, given to the top receiver in college football.Texas Tech Red Raiders: Michael Crabtree

    His success continued in 2008 with the Red Raiders, working closely with quarterback Graham Harrell to record 97 receptions, 1,165 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. Perhaps the most notable play of his college career came at the end of the November 1, 2008, upset of the Texas Longhorns.
