• Cradle of Coaches

  The RedHawks have produced some of the most legendary coaches in college football over the years including Woody Hayes, Ara Parseghian, Jim Tressel and Bo Schembechler. Hayes, who was a coaching legend with the Ohio State Buckeyes led Miami to a MAC championship in 1950. Parseghian left Miami in 1955 and went on to coach the Northwestern Wildcats, then the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Schembechler, a long-time rival of Hayes, coached the Michigan Wolverines to 13 Big Ten titles.
