Mexico Zoo Tiger Attack

  • A tiger escaped from a cage at the Bioparque Estrella zoo in Mexico on Monday, November 10, 2008. The tiger killed its caretaker, 26-year-old Herminio Rodriguez Palma, after escaping from the cage, which was apparently left unlocked.   • Escaped Animals in Mexico

    In August 2008, a lion weighing 500 pounds escaped from a private zoo in southern Mexico. In late September 2008, an elephant wandered onto a highway outside of Mexico City after running away from its trainer. The elephant died after it collided with a bus, killing the driver.
