MetroPCS is a wireless mobile phone carrier that provides unlimited minutes to it's customers based on the chosen contract. The service was launched in 2002 and currently serves 12 major metropolitan markets, includin. As of 2008, MetroPCS had more than 4.4 million subscribers. The plans for unlimited access range from $30-$50 before taxes and fees.

IPO

In 2007, MetroPCS used cash raised form its IPO to extend service to new major markets, including New York City, Philadelphia, Boston and San Diego. Service launched in Los Angeles on September 19, 2007.
