METRO 2033

Metro 2033 is an Sci-Fi first person shooter game, developed by the Ukrainian team 4A-Games. The game was released on March 16, 2010 and and it is published by THQ. The action is set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world and it's based on the best-selling novel with the same name, released by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The player will face a new world in Metro 2033, when humanity is destroyed in 2013 by a nuclear catastrophe. The action takes place in Russia, where the last survivors are hiding in the subway tunnels, to avoid extinction. In 2033 the player has to leave Metro-Station City in order to inform every survivor about a new catastrophe. The main character is Artyom and once he leaves the city he will find out that the world's creatures are suffering massive mutations. His task, and yours is to reach the city of Polis alive, no matter what.

Regarding the game-play, Metro 2033 will bring something more than any other FPS. The player will face a non-linear story, mini-games and combined elements of FPS and RPG. The AI is modified, therefore your enemies will act similar to real people. Another interesting feature is that you must concentrate when you're fighting. That's because ammo is money. Every clip you're wasting when firing can be your savior during the game. There is a variety of styles to aboard this game: as a heavy fighter or as a trained killer. The player can use stealth and night vision, to pass the enemies or the traps. Metro 2033 is the first game based on the novel with the same name. As of June 2010 4A-Games made no announcements regarding a follow up to this game.
