MetLife

MetLife (Metropolitan Life Insurance Company) is one of the largest life insurance companies in the world and operates in over 12 countries. MetLife is the largest issuer of life insurance in the United States, with more than $2 trillion in policies. The company also offers savings and retirement services for individuals and businesses.

An important key event sometime after 2001 metlife and metropolitan brokeup the company into separate parts (Metlife Property and Casualty) , (Metlife Auto And Home) , and (Metlife Life Insurance) are now under separate key management.

On August 18, 2009 Metlife announced it's CEO Robert Henrickson would be visiting Rhode Island to hold a “town hall-style” meetings with the insurer’s employees today and tomorrow to explain its restructuring and recent losses.http://www.pbn.com/detail/44306.html
