Guns of the Patriots has five unlockable costumes. The South American Rebel, Middle East Militia and Civilian Disguise costumes are acquired at certain points in the game, while the Altair Costume and Suit Costume are unlocked by fulfilling certain conditions. Below are descriptions of how and were to acquire each of the Metal Gear Solid 4 unlockable costumes.
- Altair Costume - Get the Assassin Emblem
- Civilian Disguise - Start the Eastern Europe level
- Middle Eastern Militia Disguise - In the Middle East, go to the militia safehouse
- South American Rebel Disguise - In South America, go to Cove Valley Village
- Suit Costume - Successfully complete the game
