The Psycho Mantis Doll is a special item acquired in the first playthrough of Guns of the Patriots. It is obtained after defeating Screaming Mantis in Act 5 using non-lethal attacks. Finish the game after obtaining the item and start a new game. Snake will then be able to use the Mantis Doll to take psychological control over enemy soldiers and shake them to death in the air. Aim the doll at the enemy soldiers and fire the projectile at them with R1. Once it hits the target, press L1 and shake the controller. The Sorrow Doll may be acquired at the same time, allowing Snake to psycho-manipulate dead bodies in the same fashion.

- How: Defeat Haven Troopers without killing a single soldier
- Where: Middle East Advent Palace garage area
- Laughing Octopus Doll
- When: Act 2
- How: Defeat Laughing Octopus using all non-lethal attacks in the boss fight
- Where: Retrieve the doll from the bed in a room on the top right of the map area before the scene-switch to the "white room" scenario in which you fight Laughing Beauty.

- How: Defeat Raging Raven in the boss fight using non-lethal attacks, i.e., the Mosin-Nagant
