One of the approximately forty emblems in Guns of the Patriots is the Assassin Emblem. A player earns this emblem at the same time he or she earns the Altair Costume, a suit won by the hero in Assassin's Creed. It appeared that neither the emblem nor the costume were going to be in the game after it was first announced on April 1, 2008. However, the game's producers later confirmed their presence. 1up: MGS4/Assassins Creed Mash-up (April 1, 2008) In order to earn both, you must beat the game at least one time. On the next attempt:
- Have more than 50 knife kills or knife stuns
- Have more than 50 CQC holds
- Have less than 25 discoveries.
