There are currently two distinctive sets of action figures available, along with a few non-official figures. For the 20th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid, Kojima Productions, the developer behind the video game series, partnered with Japanese toymaker Medicom to create "Ultra Detail Figures". These stand 7 inches high and include Snake and Otacon from MGS4, Snake from MGS3, and Snake and Raiden from MGS2. For the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Medicom also released a series of "Real Action Heroes". The RAH figures stand 12 inches tall and include Old Snake and Raiden. They make use of Medicom's RAH 301 technology, which allows the figures to be fully articulated and poseable. The UK version of the MGS4 Limited Edition included a 6-inch Old Snake action figure dressed in olive drab.
