  • Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action video game made for the PC, GBC and the PS platforms. The game was developed by Konami, who is also responsible for video games like Twelve and Death Note.

  • Story

    Retired soldier Solid Snake has been ordered to break into a nuclear weapon disposal facility. After finding his way into the building, Snake has to search for and release two hostages being held captive. Solid Snake must also stop Liquid Snake and his gang of terrorists from starting a nuclear war threatened against the U.S.Government.

  • Gameplay

    The object is to move Snake around the facility without being seen. The player has a radar in the upper corner of the screen which detects enemies and their whereabouts. If Snake is seen, an alarm will sound and it will alert the enemies guarding the facility. Sounding the alarm puts Snake in alert mode and he has to find a place to hide from the guards. Snake will crawl under objects and hide behind walls to evade enemies and not be seen. He will get help from his commanding officer and his support crew for tips and reminders to save his progress. A training mode is also available where Snake can learn how to use a weapon or practice hiding from the enemy.
