  • About Metal Gear Online

Metal Gear Online is a multiplayer online action game that pits 16 players in a battlefield and tasks them with eliminating one another while attempting to accomplish a variety of objectives, depending on the gametype. Game modes vary from standard Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch types to more Metal Gear-esque modes like Sneaking Mission, where player must prevent Solid Snake from collecting a certain number of dog tags.

Combat in MGO features shooting like most online action games, but also uses other elements, like stealth and player-chosen skill upgrades. Players can use cover, their environments and their equipment to conceal their presence and attempt to get the jump on their foes. There is even the option to play dead, though this will leave your body completely vulnerable if an enemy sees through the ruse. Abilities in battle can be complemented with special skills that the player chooses, like an upgrade to rifle skills or to Close Quarters Combat, which will grant new techniques to use when fighting an enemy one-on-one close up.
