The New York Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute holds an annual high fashion Gala as a fundraiser for the institutes' programs and services.

The 2009 Spring Exhibition includes 80 masterworks of haute couture and read-to-wear, decorated with fashion editorial, advertising and runway photography.
