Meriadoc Brandybuck (also known as Merry) is a fictional character that is featured throughout the J.R.R. Tolkien book series The Lord of the Rings. Merry is a hobbit from the shire who becomes one of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring. He later plays an important role in the war against Sauron.
