In World in Flames, High Value Target (HVT) missions take the place of the card system implemented in the original game, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. HVTs are enemies who are considered enough of a threat to a faction that a bounty has been placed on their head. Each faction has 10 HVTs, requiring you to kill or capture members of each of the various factions. Killed HVTs are only worth half the bounty of a captured HVT. Pandemic Forums: Mercs 2 HVT FAQ

Fast Facts
- Two Achievements are available for completing HVTs in the Xbox 360 version of the game.
- Getting noticed while attempting HVT bounties can lower your standing in a faction.
- There are 50 HVT bounties.
- Friendly soldiers can attack an HVT's guards with no faction loss.
