World in Flames is the sequel to Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, featuring destructible environments, offline co-operative mode, fire effects engine allowing players to ignite objects (e.g., oil, foliage), improved artificial intelligence for non-player characters (NPCs), and the ability to swim.

Glitches
- Respawning Toolboxes
- Watch for hidden toolboxes that you have already collected. Occasionally, after saving and returning to your game, the toolboxes will be back. You can then collect them again and unlock the vehicles in Eva's shop.
Secrets
- Restore Your Ride
- If your vehicle is running low on ammo or health, park it outside of a building you can enter, e.g., faction outpost. Enter and exit the building. Your vehicle may be partked in a slightly different place, but will have full health and restocked ammo.
- Additional Costumes
- See our page on the alternate costumes
- Complete Level 3 of Fiona's challenges at the PMC Villa to unlock a new costume for your character. Once the challenges are completed, the new costumes will be available in your closet. For the best resuts, bet the maximum amount for the first two levels of challenge. Manually save and reload the game to ensure your win. For the thir level, bet the minimum. NOTE: You will need to be perfect to beat a challenge at level 3.
- 100% Completion
- Complete all outpost missions before initiating the final story mission, Battle for Caracas / A.N. or China. Once the game is cleared, outpost missions cannot be initiated to unlock a faction's shop items.
