Menomena is an experimental three-piece Indie Rock band from Portland, OR that are known for their diverse musical tastes and Low-fi, DIY aesthetic. After playing a number of shows in the Portland area, the band self-recorded and released their debut album I Am The Fun Blame Monster in 2003. Released with individually hand made 80-page flip-books, the album caught the attention of music critics and got a positive review from Pitchfork Media. After releasing an album of instrumental music in 2005, the band signed with Barsuk Records and released their third full length album, 2007's Friend and Foe.
