The University of Memphis football team plays college football as a member of Conference USA. Known as the Tigers, the team plays their home games at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. The team has won six conference championships, the most recent in 1971 as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Although the program is known more for its success as a basketball school, the football team has had its moments of success as well, primarily when they were members of the Missouri Valley Conference.
