Roth has stirred up the junk food issue at Public School 9 in New York City where her children attend school. Between meeting with parents and teachers - and even sending out emails to groups of parents - Roth has alerted the public that while kids are given healthy lunches, the school supports other activities (such as birthday parties) that allow junk food into the food foray. The issue isn't likely to die down anytime soon, and at least one parent has suggested that Roth consider moving. The New York Times: Mother's Fight Against Junk Food... (June 16, 2009)
