Bio: I am a veteran sportswriter with more than 25 years of print and online experience in the New York area.
I have covered all the major professional and college sports for the Connecticut Post and SportsTicker, a national wire service. My favorite teams are the New York Yankees, New York Rangers and Notre Dame.
My greatest thrill as a sports fan occured on June 14, 1994, when the Rangers won their first Stanley Cup
in 54 years. I celebrated by pouring champagne over my head. I have a picture of Mark Messier holding the
Stanley Cup hanging in my office. I look at it almost every day, knowing that the Rangers never will win
another Stanley Cup in my lifetime.
