Melissa Joan Hart is an American actress and director. Her first television appearance was on a television commercial for a bathtub toy when she was three years old. She appeared in 25 commercials before she turned five years old. In 1991, she landed the title role in the Nickelodeon series Clarissa Explains it All which was successful for the four years that it aired. Her role is the series won her three young artist awards. In 1995, Hart starred in the made for television movie Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and later landed the starring role in the television series of the same name. Her most recent work includes the made for television movie Whispers and Lies and the upcoming film Satin.
