Singer Melinda Doolittle was a contestant on the sixth season of the hit reality singing competition television show American Idol. Beating out many other contestants, she was eliminated in third place. After the conclusion of the show, she went out on the American Idols Tour 2007 joined by the top 10 finalists of the season.
Dolittle's first single "My Funny Valentine" was released on February 12, 2008 on iTunes and Amazon MP3 downloads. Her first album is expected to be released June 2008. Doolittle broadcasts a live webshow Moments With Melinda monthly for viewers to ask her questions live.
She had previously worked as a back-up singer for Aaron Neville, Michael McDonald, Kirk Franklin, Alabama, and many more.
