New Zealand-born actress Melanie Lynskey landed her first starring role in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures at the age of 15. She currently appears on the sitcom Two and a Half Men and will appear in the Tim Blake Nelson film Leaves of Grass alongside Edward Norton.
Praise and Success
Though earning roles internationally and appearing alongside world-famous actors, Lynskey has only earned acting awards in her home country of New Zealand. She won Best Actress at the New Zealand Film and TV awards for her role in 1995's Heavenly Creatures and was nominated again for the award in 2001 for Snakeskin.
