Melchior Gaston Ferrer was an American actor, author, disc jockey, producer and director.
Ferrer died on Monday, June 2, 2008, at a Santa Barbara, California, convalescent home.

Mel Ferrer starred as an injured puppeteer in Lili in 1953, as Marquis de Maynes in Scaramouche in 1952 and as Prince Andrei in War and Peace with Audrey Hepburn in 1956.
