After six months of declining health Mel Ferrer died in Santa Barbara, California, on June 2, 2008.Ferrer is survived by wife Elizabeth Soukhotine, sons Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Mark, and Peter, daughters Pepa Philippa and Mela, and many grandchildren.
