Mekhi Phifer

Mekhi Phifer is an American television, film and music video actor who has a tendency to play himself in various roles. He can most recently be seen in the hit NBC drama ER, where he portrayed the character of Gregory Pratt.

Phifer is the latest in a long line of Hollywood celebrities to comment on the February 8, 2009 alleged domestic disturbance between singers Rihanna and Chris Brown that left Rihanna hospitalized. Phifer told press in March 2009, "People make mistakes—and while I don't condone what happened that night, you know, what Chris did to her—I remember being young, 19, and at that age it seemed like everything was so over-the-top, and everyone's so passionate about things at the age."Perez Hilton: Mekhi is a Moron (March 2, 2009)

Mekhi has made appearances in videos for 50 Cent, En Vogue, Monica, Wu Tang Clan and Keith Sweat. His film and television credits include Clockers, Soul Food, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, A Lesson Before Dying, Shaft, O, Brian's Song, 8 Mile, Honey and Dawn of the Dead. Phifer can next be seen in the films A Talent for Trouble and Nora's Hair Salon II.
