Megan Ward is an American film, stage, and television actress who can be seen as the character Kate Howard on the daily on the ABC series General Hospital
Megan Ward is the youngest of four siblings and her parents were both involved in the industry as drama coaches and professional actors. She moved to Hawaii at the age of four where she began her career doing advertising for local department stores. At the age of fifteen she was a teen model working in Japan. She is fluent in Japanese which helped her land her first screen role in Basho's Journey.
Megan Ward also was a host on a Japanese television show, Science Q. Ward returned to the United States to try acting after graduating from Kaiser High School. Next, she moved to Los Angeles and was able to get roles in science-fiction and comedy movies which included the movie, Freaked.

Megan Ward appeared in episodes of Sons & Daughters and Charles in Charge before landing her break out role in the 1992 film Encino Man with Brendan Fraser. Then she was able to do a short term stint in the role of Patty in The Class of "96". Ward nabbed a recurring role in the FOX series Party of Five. She starred in the short lived series Winnetka Road on NBC who next offered her a role in Dark Skies which also starred Eric Close. After the end of Dark Skies, she was been appearing in direct-to-video films such as Tick Tock, and Mirror Man. Her next major role was on Boomtown, where she appeared with Donnie Wahlberg.
