Mrs. McNair, I know you have received many comforting expressings of love from friends and fans. However, we know that it is God's power and grace which sustains you during these most distressful times. From all accounts you and your husband were/are a God fearing family and God has sweeped-up his spirit into heaven. It sounds as if your husband had a conscience and a loving heart for his family and did not want to continue down that path. It appears that on dreadful day that he had purposed in his heart to follow God's word and he had conveyed that.... He had set in his heart and mind on loving God and you first and he was resting in that relief when he was suddenly taken.... Your solace and comfort is in knowing that your husband loved the Lord our God with all of his heart, all of his soul and all of his mind this is the first commandment and this is likened unto it "love thy neighbor as you love they self......all the laws and the prophets hang on these two commandments." In the final analysis; in the end your husband fulfilled God's commandments and now he is reaping his rewards in the greatest superbowl of all....running the ball in heaven . He is still a champion and even though the world took his physical self it could not touch his spirtual soul. He was determined to serve the Lord at whatever cost and his reward is surely in heaven.
