Mecca California Train Derailment

A train derailed in Mecca, California on March 3, 2008 at approx. 8:45pm. Two tankers carrying phosphoric and hydrochloric acid released a cloud of fumes over the area. Area residents were evacuated an there were no injuries reported as a result of the derailment.
