McDonald's is a fast food restaurant chain with over 31,000 locations world wide. The first restaurant, located in San Bernardino, California, was founded by Richard and Maurice McDonald in 1940. Ray Kroc opened the first McDonald's franchise location in 1955, and bought out the McDonald brothers in 1961. There are over 30,000 McDonald's restaurants in over 100 countries, making it the largest fast food franchise in the world.

Since 1983, McDonalds have included a small collectible toy with their Happy Meal child's-portion package. Originally a simple, crude item, the Happy Meal toys have become increasingly more sophisticated as marketing partnerships with film and entertainment properties became more common. Hot Wheels, Lego, and Play-Doh toys were among the first. -
