There has been speculation that Republican presidential candidate John McCain could choose former opponent Mitt Romney as his running mate for the 2008 election. When asked by reporters about the possibility, Romney has said that he would be "honored" to serve as John McCain's running mate. McCain has not responded to Romney's comments, and although he has established a committee headed by former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina to work on the selection of a running mate, he has yet to announce a decision.
