• Stanley Burrel aka MC Hammer is a pop leaning rapper from Oakland, California who rose to fame in the early 1990 with the hits "U Can't Touch This" and "Too Legit to Quit". Known for his signature baggy pants (also known as "Hammer Pants") and fly dance moves, the former Oakland A's batboy became a sensation with his 1990 album Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em. After falling out of favor in the late 90s, and declaring bankruptcy, Hammer returned to his roots as an evangelical preacher.

  Hammer's attempt to make a comeback is the focus of an A&E reality show called Hammertime. The show debuts on A&E on Sunday, June 14, 2009.
